Ungrouped

This video training was developed by READY TEXAS with a grant from the Department of Homeland Security and is promoted by the FBI.  The training features a realistic active shooter emergency and may be disturbing.  SCU does not own the rights to the material; however, we provide access to the video at the recommendation of the risk management division of NCMIC.

Produced and release by Ohio State University, this video is an excellent resource.  Even though it is specific to their campus, the tactics can apply at any campus.

Developed by Santa Ana School District

Even though it is directed at K-12 schools, it is one of the best descriptions of the Run, Hide, Fight strategy.

RUN HIDE FIGHT

What's known as an "Active Shooter" incident has become an unfortunate reality in today's world. SCU has created this page - not to alarm our campus community - but to keep each of you informed of what to do on and off campus.

We encourage you to explore the resources provided to learn more as the most important thing you can do is be prepared!

1) During an Active Shooter event: RUN (away from the shooter), HIDE (if you cannot run away), FIGHT (the shooter by any means necessary).
2) If you see something suspicious or have a concern, please contact Campus Safety so that we may assist appropriately!

Yellow Phone Boxes and Blue Poles will also contact Campus Safety
