  • Most campus demonstrations will be peaceful and everyone should attempt to carry on business as normally as possible. Avoid provoking or obstructing the demonstrators.
  • Notify the Director of Student Affairs at x384 and Campus Safety at x333. To avoid confrontation, use a private area when making the call.
  • Campus Security will assess the situation. Participants who refuse to disperse may be arrested for a violation of the State Penal Code.
A threatening disturbance should be reported immediately to Campus Safety at x333. The following procedures should be followed:
  1. Alert all employees in the area to the situation.
  2. Lock all doors, and secure all files, documents, and equipment.
  3. If necessary, cease operations and evacuate.
  4. Contact Campus Safety at x333 for further instructions if you are evacuated.

If a class or lecture is disrupted, the offending person(s) should be requested to leave. If they refuse, call Campus Safety at x333.
