Preventive Measures

  • Register with SCU's Emergency Notification System - Informacast - for safety alerts and information.
  • Get to know your building and where the exits and fire extinguishers are located.
  • Be familiar with the content on this site and don't be afraid to ask questions.
  • Maintain personal emergency supplies at work or in your car such as a change of clothes, shoes, snacks, water, flashlight, and prescription medications. See www.redcross.org for more information.
  • For First Aid/CPR/AED training, contact the American Red Cross, which offers low-cost classes. Go to www.redcross.org to enroll.
  • Visit SCU's AED page for a virtual demonstration of campus AEDs and a map of there location.
